Cleaning the windows

Two workers, in a small basket, move quietly outside the Turning Torso building from window to window, cleaning each one.

This job isn’t for those who fear heights! The basket is stabilized with a counterweight, allowing them to work in various weather conditions, including strong winds common near the sea.

Cleaning these windows also offers a spectacular view as a bonus—views of Malmö, Copenhagen, and the sea. Occasionally, they might even spot a celebrity living in Turning Torso.

The number of windows they clean each day varies, but the cleaning is ongoing. By the time they finish all the windows, it’s time to start again. Being near the sea means the windows regularly get a coating of salt and need frequent cleaning.

Fortunately, window cleaning is included in the rent.
